IMMIGRATION: ARE ELECTED DEMOCRATS ENDANGERING US?

It might as well be said that immigration has become a partisan issue, which should have not become the case. As conservatives think, this will pave the way for Democrats to win back power in many different offices across the nation, mainly on the federal level. Why? In some Democrat controlled states, illegal immigrants have been given rights to obtain a driver’s license. If mixed with laws that automatically enroll individuals that have a driver’s license to voter rolls, it gives non-American citizens the right to vote. That is not only dangerous, but illegal.

Few states have already gone through the process of removing deceased or illegal individuals off voter rolls, but it hasn’t been done in every state. I somehow think the federal government should mandate a cleanup of voter rolls in every state periodically, but then staunch conservatives could accuse me of advocating for federal government overreach, so I’ll leave that aside for now.

Doesn’t this call for deportation of illegals? Quite frankly, yes. We know illegals will vote for Democrats because the party has adopted a platform of giving illegals free stuff. Sounds like socialism right? Free stuff at other’s expense. Two of the four southern-border states stand in the way of the federal government doing it’s job of keeping the homeland safe. (California and New Mexico) California as a whole is a sanctuary state, whereas some cities in New Mexico have adopted sanctuary policies. Arizona and Texas have some cities labeled as sanctuaries as well, although the state governments reject sanctuary status.

In 2018, the DOJ under the Trump administration ended up suing California for interference with federal immigration enforcement. After all, Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution says that "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion." Shouldn’t every state respect this policy of the Constitution? Well…if you’ve been watching the radical left raise their new platforms since the 2016 election, you might be surprised at how much they’ve twisted or disregarded portions of the Constitution.

In argument of the suit, DOJ officials said in a statement, "The provisions of state law at issue have the purpose and effect of making it more difficult for federal immigration officers to carry out their responsibilities in California," They also called the new laws an "obstacle to the United States' enforcement of the immigration laws and discriminating against federal immigration enforcement." Then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a prepared statement to the California Peace Officers Association that "the Department of Justice and the Trump administration are going to fight these unjust, unfair, and unconstitutional policies that have been imposed on you.” (In reference to state laws that interfered with the federal government’s task of enforcing national immigration laws.) “We are fighting to make your jobs safer and to help you reduce crime in America. And I believe that we are going to win."

So while we’re on the subject of the border wall debate that has been taking place within recent months, it’s important to take note of why elected Democrats are in unity of opposing any such barrier along the southern border, and giving sanctuary to non-American citizens, especially those from Mexico and other countries that chose the southern border to illegally pass through. My good friend Mark Angelotti referred to the important aspects of why the Electoral College needs to remain in place, and not only is that a good thing, but we must also keep in place and/or implement voter ID laws that will give ONLY American citizens the right to vote in our elections. We don't need anymore rigging of our elections with non-citizens willing to overturn the will of the American people.
