Easter has a big meaning to the staff of As A Matter Of Fact. Here are a few submissions by our team to explain what Easter means to them. We hope you enjoy reading them, and we wish all of you a Happy Easter. He is Risen!

"To me, Easter is celebrating the risen Savior, Jesus Christ. He victoriously overcame death, hell and the grave. To think that there is a remedy for the sins we’ve committed since birth is extraordinary. We have access to eternal life given for free by the One who took all of the sins of the world upon Himself at Mount Calvary. Jesus was led up to Calvary and had nails driven into His hands and His feet and a crown of thorns placed on his head. He had the weight of all of mankind’s sins placed upon His heart, so much so that God had to abandon Him, since God and sin have no part with each other. But death, hell, and the grave were no match for the power of the Three in One, and in glorious power, all were defeated. Jesus took the punishment for your sin and mine so all we have to do is come to him and repent, and ask him to forgive us of the sins we’ve committed. He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Because He lives, we can have eternal life!"

"To me, Easter signifies the unending repentance for sins. However, the cost at which this repentance comes must not be forgotten. Jesus gave His life for us sinners, and for that I am forever grateful. The never ending stigma behind religion is only becoming more prevalent in today’s society, but Easter is the one time that Christians and non-Christians alike can come together and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. So, to me, Easter signifies unity though all backgrounds and religions, but also, the most important day in the Earth’s history."

"The Easter season means something to me because we are constantly exposed to the sacrifice and unconditional love that Jesus felt and poured out from the very moment He was born, to us nailing Him to a wooden cross. Jesus, who was perfect, died for every person
